Ship management

When a ship is purchased for importing and exporting goods, a ship management team is required to maintain and operate the vessels. The function of the management team is to provide the owner with support throughout the occupancy or charter of the vessel. Vessels can range in sizes and function.

Most Management companies provide the owner or operator with crew on board. When the ship comes out of the Ship Yard (where the ship is built) the management company takes it over providing technical support to the owner. Most Management companies also offer other services like inspection prior to purchase, supervision during building, crew management and supply and ship lay-up solutions.

Ship management is an important part of maritime traffic supervision and management, including the registration and management of ships, visa of ships entering and leaving the port, management of foreign vessels, ship maintenance management and technical ship management.

Ship Manager

Ship managers are people who accepting the commission of the shipowners or charterers and the ship operator engaged in ship management,(including narrow technical management of ships, ship business management, crew management, etc.) but the fees, rights, obligations and consequences are undertaken by the shipowners or charterers or ship operators. As long as people who comply with the characteristics above can be a ship manager and their job is based on the trust relationship.
